Hidden object playable ads
Hidden object is the calmest genre to play as an ad and one of the easiest to get wrong: make the items too obvious and it’s boring, too small and it’s frustrating.
Play them here
Each one made with Playbaker. Tap a card to play it in a phone frame; its page has the prompt behind it.
What makes a hidden object playable work
From the studio’s hidden object playbook: the rules the agents load before they build, and what went wrong in earlier builds.
01
Silhouettes in the bar
The item bar shows what to find as silhouettes, and a hand points at the first one.
02
Hitboxes bigger than the item
About 1.3× the visible size, so a thumb on a small screen counts. Items blend into the palette but stay fair.
03
A clock with a cost
Wizard’s Spellbook gives 40 seconds for six items; a wrong tap costs two seconds and flashes red.
04
Hints for the stuck
A hint glows after five idle seconds. Found items sparkle and fly to the bar, and a page turn starts the next round.
A 30-second beat sheet
What the player sees, in order. A playable that hits these beats ends before attention runs out.
- 0–2 sAn illustrated scene, silhouettes in the bar, a hand on the first item
- FindsItems sparkle and fly to the bar
- Wrong tap−2 s and a red flash
- Idle 5 sThe hint glows
- EndLast item found or time up, then the end card

Make a hidden object playable ad for my game: <your store link>. A cluttered illustrated room, five items shown as silhouettes in a bar, a 30-second timer, wrong taps cost two seconds, a hint glows after five idle seconds, then the end card.
