Playbaker vs PlayablesAI

Last updated 16 October 2026 · facts checked against each company’s own pages

PlayablesAI, from Helsinki, is the closest thing to Playbaker: describe a playable, iterate with AI, export it. The differences are in what you start from, how you edit, which networks get a dedicated package and how the credits are priced.

Which to pick

Pick PlayablesAI if

  • You want a visual editor to move things by hand alongside the AI.
  • You want the project as a folder of files on your computer, under Git.
  • You mostly run on Google Ads, Meta and Mintegral, or on MRAID networks.

Pick Playbaker if

  • You want to start from a store link and let the agents work out the mechanic and the art style.
  • You want every build playtested by a QA agent before you see it.
  • You need dedicated packages for AppLovin, Unity Ads, TikTok, Moloco or Liftoff, or a free plan to try it first.

How each one works

PlayablesAI describes itself as “a self-service tool that lets marketers and developers create unlimited playable ads on their own”. You describe the playable, the AI builds it and can generate backgrounds, characters and icons, and the result stays editable in its visual editor. A project is a folder of files on your own computer, which its FAQ suggests putting under Git.

Playbaker runs in the browser with four agents: the Producer reads your store page and plans the playable, Art matches the game’s style, Dev builds it, and QA plays it in a headless phone browser and sends failures back before you see it. Edits are requests in the chat.

Credits aren’t comparable

Both price in credits, but a credit means something different in each product, so compare what a playable costs, not the credit counts. PlayablesAI’s own examples put a simple playable at about 50 to 100 credits and a complex one at 1,000 to 1,500. In Playbaker a first build at Low quality uses about 10 credits and an edit usually 2 to 4.
